Day 2 Session 5C - Safeguarding Against Burnout as a Mental Health Professional Engaging in Advocacy Work
Mental health professionals often find themselves engaging in advocacy work and in fact are called to engage in advocacy work. Advocacy work while worthwhile can lead to burnout after a while if a mental health professional does not actively safeguard against it. This presentation will not only discuss how mental health professionals are called to engage in advocacy work in their roles, but also how to actively safeguard against burnout when doing advocacy work so that they might have a long, enjoyable career as a mental health professional.
