Tina is a trauma specialist and plant enthusiast based in Philadelphia, PA. She has masters' degrees in International Peace & Conflict Resolution and Counseling. Tina has worked with an array of populations including addiction recovery, first responders, public transit operators, survivors of violent crime, and folks with complex trauma. She’s worked internationally in Turkey, Jordan, Nicaragua, and Belize doing training for mental health first aid and distress tolerance techniques. Her specialties are EMDR and ecotherapy. When she’s not providing therapy, Tina loves gardening, traveling, walks in nature, iced coffee, and reality tv shows.

Day 1 Session 1C: Mother Nature as Co-Therapist: Providing Ecotherapy in Private Practice
Session Summary
Bridging the gap in treating complex trauma, this course will look to introduce ecotherapy in addressing wellness in an array of mental health populations including addiction recovery, trauma exposure, and survivors of violent crimes. Leveraging nature and environmental queues to extend mental health first aid and distress tolerance techniques to practitioners will be highlighted in this session in hopes of helping treating professionals expand their reach and aptitude in therapeutic response to the populations they serve.

ClinicianFest is a 503c organization. Proceeds from ClinicianFest are used to fund the co-pays of those in need of mental health services but unable to afford such services in their entirety. We partner with over 216 vendors, agencies, private practitioners, and community support programs to support aid in communities with scarce mental healthcare access and resources. To date, we have assisted over 1100 clients in getting the care and aid they need on their journey.
