Kiara is a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health in Delaware and Pennsylvania, as well as a motivational speaker and author of five books, including Drop Your Cape and Start With Your Thoughts. With extensive experience supporting individuals and couples through anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges, she brings an empathetic, collaborative, and client-centered approach to her work.

Her session, “Enhancing Therapists Competency and Effectiveness in Grief Therapy,” equips clinicians with evidence-based tools and therapeutic frameworks to effectively support clients navigating both normal and complicated grief. Participants will explore grief models rooted in attachment theory, CBT, and narrative therapy, while gaining strategies for meaning-making, cultural sensitivity, and therapist resilience.
