No More Capes: Showing Up as a Black Therapist Without Burning Out
Her session, “No More Capes: Showing Up as a Black Therapist Without Burning Out,” invites Black therapists into a healing-centered conversation about serving clients authentically without self-abandonment. Grounded in the cultural and emotional weight of collective sociopolitical events, the workshop explores the internalized burden of the “strong Black woman” archetype, its impact on therapeutic presence, and ways to reclaim boundaries and sustainability in practice.
