Day 1 Session 3C: Creating a Culture of Radical Self-Care for Transformative Client Engagement

Session Summary

Licensed clinical professionals are a part of the frontline people who offer hope, help, and healing to those who are navigating the ebbs and flows of life. Clinicians often provide support while managing the complexities of their own professional and personal lives. Although clinicians are equipped with a unique set of professional skills, the COVID-19 global pandemic has been non-discriminatory in its impact and has amplified the need for creating a culture of radical care for both the licensed clinical professional and the client rooted in the principles, standards, and competencies of the profession. Clinicians can create a culture of radical self-care to engage clients, offer support, and model strategies using co-regulation to effectively navigate life’s many difficulties.
