Ethics & AI: Navigating the Future of Mental Health Practice

Course Summary

There is a widening gap between the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence in behavioral health and clinicians’ understanding of its ethical implications. Many providers use AI-assisted documentation, EHR tools, or client-facing apps without clear guidance on informed consent, privacy, or professional accountability. This training addresses the gap between emerging technology use and ethical competence, helping clinicians align practice with NASW, APA, and NBCC standards while safeguarding relational and trauma-informed care in an increasingly digital environment.
