LaQueshia Clemons, LCSW, AFC®, Trauma of Money Certified, is the CEO and founder of Freedom Life Therapy & Wellness, a financial wellness center dedicated to helping individuals and couples heal their emotional relationship with money. As a licensed clinical social worker and accredited financial counselor, she integrates mental health therapy with financial education to address the roots of financial trauma and empower clients to build generational wealth.
Drawing from her own journey of overcoming debt and scarcity mindsets, LaQueshia brings authenticity, compassion, and cultural humility to every space she leads. Her work centers on the intersection of race, money, and mental health—exploring how systemic oppression shapes financial behaviors and self-worth. Course Summary
In communities historically excluded from wealth-building opportunities, money wounds often run deep—rooted in systemic racism, intergenerational trauma, and economic inequity. This session explores how financial therapy can serve as a radical healing practice that empowers clients to reclaim agency, challenge internalized scarcity, and rewrite their money stories. Through case studies, somatic exercises, and culturally-responsive frameworks, participants will learn to integrate conversations about money, power, and healing within their clinical work—especially with BIPOC clients navigating financial stress and identity-based trauma.
