Presenter's Bio

Dr. Ernesha Smith is a licensed clinical social worker, clinical supervisor, and integrative mental health practitioner specializing in mind-body-spirit healing and trauma-informed care. With a decade of clinical experience, she is known for her ability to help clients move beyond chronic stress, unresolved trauma, and emotional overwhelm by returning to the wisdom of the body and reconnecting with their most authentic selves.
Dr. Smith brings a deeply holistic and evidence-based approach to the field. She is trained in EMDR, somatic practices, breathwork, nervous system regulation, CBT, chakra psychology, sound healing, and trauma-responsive embodiment work. Her work integrates the best of Eastern and Western healing pairing clinical rigor with experiential practices that help clients feel safe in their bodies and experience real, lasting change.
She is the founder of Alternative Healing LC, a transformative wellness brand offering therapy, holistic coaching, experiential workshops, sound healing, and digital healing tools. She also leads The Healing Circle™, a monthly membership dedicated to making somatic healing, emotional regulation, and inner transformation accessible to diverse communities. Her signature nine-month Healing Blueprint™ program has become a trusted framework for deep emotional reintegration, blending psychoeducation, somatic processing, values alignment, boundary work, and trauma-responsive skills to support long-term healing.
As a clinical supervisor and educator, Dr. Smith trains emerging and established clinicians in trauma-informed care, somatic integration, and holistic therapeutic strategies. She is committed to equipping practitioners with practical, ethically grounded tools they can use immediately in practice especially those working with dissociation, nervous system dysregulation, identity disruption, and body-based trauma.
Her teaching style is warm, accessible, and experiential. She believes clinicians heal best when they understand healing not just as a cognitive process, but as a full-body experience that requires attunement, curiosity, and a deep respect for the client’s internal wisdom.
Dr. Smith’s mission is to bridge the gap between traditional mental health treatment and whole-person wellness, empowering providers to implement somatic and spiritual practices safely, ethically, and effectively. Through her trainings, she continues to expand the field’s understanding of how mind, body, and spirit work together to restore emotional balance, rebuild self-trust, and support post-traumatic growth.
