Fabian is a bilingual licensed clinical social worker whose work centers on trauma, youth empowerment, and healing in underserved communities. With experience spanning schools, nonprofits, and systems of care, he brings a survivor-centered perspective rooted in harm-reduction and trauma-informed principles.

His session, “Minding Trauma: A Survivor-Centered Approach to Trauma-Informed Education,” will help clinicians better understand how trauma impacts the brain and behavior, recognize trauma responses in youth, and apply strengths-based interventions that foster safety and connection—while also addressing strategies for clinician self-care.
