
Presenter Bio
Tysheira is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, author, and founder of a nonprofit dedicated to supporting emerging adults. With nearly a decade of experience, she provides individual therapy focused on life adjustments, childhood trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, and women’s issues. She is also a first-year PhD student at Baylor University, with research interests in survivors of childhood exposure to domestic violence, health, trauma, and resilience.

Her session, “Witnessing The Hidden Wounds: Supporting Survivors of Childhood Exposure to Domestic Violence,” will examine the lifelong impact of this often-overlooked trauma. Attendees will learn to define and differentiate CEDV from other traumas, identify long-term emotional and relational effects, and apply trauma-informed, culturally responsive interventions while integrating systemic and policy-level considerations.
