Lisa Savage

Lisa Savage, LCSW, is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. Her focus was on health disparities and mental health. Her career has focused on providing healthcare to underserved and poor communities. She began her career in Philadelphia, working in the community to provide direct service and education to people affected by HIV. Ms. Savage is a strong proponent of community-based services. To that end, she began working in schools and other community settings. Over the past ten years, she has expanded her services to schools and opened the Center for Child Development, which focuses on providing mental health services to children and families in the school setting. Ms. Savage completed a two-year training and research program with the University of Maryland to use evidence-based treatment protocols to improve mental health service provision outcomes. As a result, she has successfully grown this practice to be the largest Black-owned practice in the country, serving children and teens.Additionally, Lisa is the co-founder of Clinicians of Color, LLC. Clinicians of Color is an online platform that provides guidance, resources, and support to BIPOC providers and clinicians. Clinicians of Color also advocate improving access to mental health services. One of the new initiatives is a mental health directory to assist Black and Brown communities in finding more access to providers representing their cultures.Lastly, Ms. Savage is a speaker focusing on racism and health equity
